I am a research fellow in sociology at the University of Wuppertal, with scientific interests in quantitative sociology and computational social science; consumption and taste; cultural stratification; cultural policies; social transformations; inequality and redistribution.

I completed my bachelor’s degree (BA) in sociology at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (Kyiv, Ukraine) and my master’s degree (MSc) in sociology and social research at the University of Cologne (Cologne, Germany). From 2019 to 2022, I worked at GESIS, initially as a student assistant and later as a researcher in the Metadata Team (Data Services for the Social Sciences Department). In 2022, I joined the University of Wuppertal to pursue my Ph.D. dissertation.

My cumulative dissertation, The Social Life of Taste: Patterns and Influences in Cultural Consumption (2026), examines contemporary forms of the social embeddedness of cultural taste and consumption. It contributes to research on omnivore–univore patterns, advances understanding of cultural practices during periods of societal disruption, and offers new insights into the role of social influence in cultural markets.

While working as a research fellow at the University of Wuppertal, I developed four courses, which were taught a total of 16 times to undergraduate students in the social sciences and sociology: Sociology of Consumption (seminar, 3/4 ECTS, x11 times), Introduction to the Consumer Society (seminar, 3 ECTS, x1 time), Inequality and Redistribution (lecture, 4 ECTS, taught in cooperation with political science and applied economics, x3 times), and Climate Change: Sociological Perspective (excercise, 2 ECTS, x1 time). The evaluation of courses shows a consistent high level of assessment, with scores for each index ranging from 1 (very good) to 2 (good). The score for general impression ranges from 1.2 to 1.7, indicating a high evaluation.
